[January 15, 2015, Chicago, IL] – On the North side, Ernie Banks famously coined the phrase of “Let's play two.” This year, legendary musician Billy Joel will put the iconic quote in his own terms with let’s play four. Joel will return for the second consecutive year to perform at Wrigley Field on Thursday, August 27th, 2015. The performance will mark Billy Joel’s record setting fourth performance and firmly establishes him as the all time leader in concert ticket sales at Wrigley Field.

In honor of this record setting performance the Cubs will create an original flag for the event. Those flags will fly from the 28 flagpoles on the Wrigley Field roof on the day of the concert signifying the Piano Man’s unprecedented accomplishment.

“Billy Joel will be the first artist to take the stage at iconic Wrigley Field four times – more than any other artist in the history of Wrigley Field,” said Chicago Cubs Chairman, Tom Ricketts. “As we work to restore the heritage of this great ballpark, it is an honor to have the legendary Billy Joel become a part of our rich and celebrated history.”
