[December 1, 2014, NEW YORK NY] – Legendary musician Billy Joel has been announced to play a record-breaking 7th show at the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University on Friday, March 20, 2015. Joel’s return to the Dome will be his only scheduled NY show in 2015 outside of his sold-out run at Madison Square Garden.

This performance will officially make Billy Joel the artist to have played the most shows at the Dome, and in honor of this special standing, Syracuse University will hold a banner raising ceremony in March. Joel last played a full stadium show in Syracuse in 2006 as part of the Dome’s 25th anniversary.

“We are thrilled to welcome back Billy Joel to the Carrier Dome, though in truth he has never left,” said Ann Clarke, Dean of the College of Visual & Performing Arts at Syracuse University. “He has a history of philanthropy with Syracuse University, and his past donations to the College of Visual and Performing Arts continue to benefit our students.”

All tickets to the March 20, 2015 concert will be $89.50 and $59.50 before fees, and will go on sale to the public beginning Saturday, December 6 at 9AM ET. American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Wednesday, December 3 at 9am ET through Friday, December 5 at 9pm ET.

This concert is presented by AEG Live, as was Billy Joel’s last show at the Carrier Dome.

“AEG is proud to once again be a part of bringing Billy Joel to Syracuse,” said Debra Rathwell, Senior Vice President, AEG Live. “Our long standing relationship with Billy Joel has seen many historical moments and we are excited for this record-breaking performance next year.”

Tickets will be available for purchase at www.aeglive.com, Ticketmaster.com (phone: 800.745.3000), and at the Carrier Dome Box Office, 900 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, New York, 13244 (phone: 888.DOME.TIX / 888.336.3849).
