Gov. Cuomo was in a New York state of mind Monday after hitting the road with rocker Billy Joel for a statewide breast cancer motorcycle ride.
Cuomo and his motorcycle gang made stops in Queens, Long Island, Suffolk, Rockland and Ulster counties to rev up support for families impacted by breast cancer and to raise awareness about the disease.
The governor signed legislation that removes the cost of screenings, keeps hospitals open later and provides “navigators” to walk patients through the screening and insurance process.
“This is going to save lives, literally,” Cuomo said after a stop at Citi Field with about 50 riders. – New York Daily News.
