Billy Joel offered a little insight into life with his 2-year-old daughter, Della Rose, in a rare daytime talk show interview with Harry Connick Jr., taped on Thursday.
“She comes in every morning and throws my shorts on the bed and says ‘Get out of bed, Daddy,’” Joel said, adding that she may have a future in music since she can already carry a melody and sing in key.
The wide-ranging interview, which will air on the season 2 debut of Connick’s talk show, “Harry,” on September 12, also featured Joel and his band performing “Vienna” with Connick on accordion, followed by a version of “Don’t Ask Me Why” that had them singing and playing piano together.
