Billy Joel delivered the goods on Saturday for a near-sellout crowd, performing two dozen songs over the course of two hours. (As a bonus, the crowd also got an unannounced opening set from Gavin DeGraw.) At age 66, Joel remains in very strong voice, even reaching the high notes on “An Innocent Man” that a few years ago he was handing off to his backing singers. The staging was just right – lots of lighting effects, no unnecessary pyrotechnics, and large video screens that alternated between shots of the performers and images that correlated to the subject of the songs. – Daily Press
